Join us for the 24th Annual Leadership Southern Arizona, where the Class of 2025 will embark on an immersive journey to understand the processes and systems that shape southern Arizona. Hosted by the Sky Islands Foundation, this esteemed community leadership development program is open to anyone eager to step into a leadership role when called upon.


Every employee can benefit from this program, which is especially valuable for emerging leaders and those looking to elevate their careers. Participants will engage with local and regional leaders, fostering invaluable networking opportunities and building long-term business relationships with classmates.


Throughout the program, you'll examine the major business sectors that contribute to the longevity and growth of southern Arizona, enhancing the skills necessary to become a decision-maker and leader in your community. Discover how you and your organization can make a positive impact through your business interactions while developing a deep commitment to southern Arizona.


Since its inception, Leadership Southern Arizona has graduated hundreds of individuals, many of whom have become prominent and influential leaders in the community. This program offers exclusive opportunities and unique experiences not available to the general public, ensuring that participants gain insights and connections that will enrich their leadership journey.   • What is Leadership Southern Arizona?

    Leadership Southern Arizona is a regional leadership development program hosted by the Sky Islands Foundation. 

    Its purpose is to create an awareness of our community and the many opportunities available locally. The program fosters a commitment to the southeastern Arizona region and develops future leaders. Since its inception, hundreds of people have graduated from this distinguished program, many of which are prominent and influential leaders in the southeastern Arizona region. Many of the opportunities available to this group are exclusive to the Leadership Program and not open to the general public. This provides the participants with many unique, and interesting experiences.

  • What is the curriculum?

    Join us as we travel around Cochise County and beyond to participate in seminars and hands-on experiences involving leadership in local government, education, the arts, healthcare, economic development, law enforcement, border issues, and Fort Huachuca. This program stretches over 10 months, with one leadership class each month.

    Anyone can participate! Every employee needs to be prepared to take a leadership role when called upon. Emerging leaders of this community and those interested in moving their careers to the next level, find this program personally and professionally invaluable.   • What is the cost of this program?

    Tuition is $850 for Partnership Members and $1050 for Non-Partnership Attendees. Scholarships are available through the application process.

    Yes! We have organizations throughout Cochise County that support the leadership and development of Southern Arizona's greatest resource...its people! 


    Scholarships are available that will cover the complete or partial cost of the Leadership Southern Arizona Program.
